The nose is fruity, fine, smooth and offers a fine concentration. It reveals notes of crushed cassis and more slightly liquorice, redcurrant jam associated with subtle touches of tobacco, saffron, sweet spices and toasted oak. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, juicy, well-built, racy and offers gourmandize, good definition, a crunchy/juicy fruit, a nice mineral/fresh frame as well as deepness and creaminess. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black cherry, cassis, ripe/juicy redcurrant and more slightly strawberry associated with fine touches of toasted oak as well as fine/discreet touches of cardamom and an imperceptible hint of sugared tobacco. Tannins are very slightly dry. Good length.
