The nose is aromatic, structured and offers a very fine richness as well as a fine concentration. It reveals notes of crushed cassis, crushed blackberry and small touches of wild strawberry associated with hints of violet, spices as well as subtle hints of tonka bean. The palate is fresh, fruity, juicy, well-balanced and offers a fine mineral frame, gourmandize, a good definition, a fine fullness, a very fine creaminess as well as a small straightness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, cassis and more slightly toasted oak associated with imperceptible hint of ripe bell pepper (in the background) as well as a subtle hint of caramelization/dark chocolate and nut on the persistence/aftertaste. Good length on hints of cocoa/caramelization and an imperceptible hint of Bourbon vanilla.
