Château Guillemin La Gaffelière 2017 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is fruity, rather aromatic and offers a fine concentration as well as a fine power. It reveals notes of cassis, small black berries and small notes of liquorice associated with touches of gray pepper, fresh strawberry as well as hints of cocoa, violet and nutmeg. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a juicy/acidulous frame, a fine tension as well as minerality and a fine fat. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/ripe cassis, crushed blackberry and small notes of liquorice stick associated with fine touches of fresh/juicy strawberry, fine toasted hints/vanilla and an imperceptible hint of almond (in the background). Good length.
