Château Grand Moulin 2020 – Haut-Médoc

Château Grand Moulin 2020 – Haut-Médoc

Deep, brilliant ruby color. The nose is aromatic, precise, tangy, with dominant woody and spicy notes, which are then completed by a fragrant floral bouquet. We find the aromas of red cherry, crushed blackcurrant, fresh blueberry, crunchy strawberry, touches of vanilla, coconut, cinnamon and cloves pronounced, but enveloped by the fruity side, as well as delicate touches of peony and violet. The palate offers sapidity, gourmandise and a warm spiciness. It expresses notes of morello cherry, red cherry jam, crushed blackcurrant, toasted notes, sweet coffee, dried vanilla as well as roasted aromatic herbs (thyme, rosemary) and roasted red fruits. The finish is warm, enveloping, gourmand, with a hint of dark chocolate, black plum and prune in chocolate in the background. Beautiful material and structure, roundness and gourmandise. The tannins are a bit drying on the finish.
