Château Grand Corbin-Despagne 2021 – Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé

The nose is elegant and harmonious, revealing richness, control, concentration, depth, definition and fine grain. There are notes of pulpy/ripe blackcurrant, creamy boysenberry and more lightly crushed strawberry combined with hints of zan, lily, crushed red berries, a hint of vanilla, bergamot/infusion as well as fine nutmeg and a discreet hint of green cardamom. The palate is mineral, balanced and offers freshness, precision, good definition, roundness, volume, a nice balance on the freshness, an acidulous backbone, a fine grain and a certain complexity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh/pulpy blackberry, plump raspberry and slightly fresh/pulpy violet plum with hints of racy minerality, ripe/fresh red berries and hints of violet, lily, a discreet hint of sap and fine zan and a subtle hint of sweet spice. Nice definition, roundness and gourmandize. A nice classicism in elegance and freshness.
