Château Grand Corbin-Despagne 2020 Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Grand Cru Classé

Château Grand Corbin-Despagne 2020 Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Grand Cru Classé

On the nose it is fruity, gourmand, nicely defined and offers purity of the fruit, a certain small intensity, a nice pulpy/juicy fruit as well as some complexity, deepness, and a certain power. It reveals notes of bright blueberry, violet small notes of bright strawberry  associated with touches of crushed cassis juicy berry, lily, hints of zan, cornflower as well as small hints of Cuban pepper, vanilla and ripe almonds. On the palate it is fruity, elegant, fresh, offers power (in delicacy), concentration (in finesse), a nice fine grain, structure, deepness, a small multi-layer side, a good volume, precision, a fine tension as well as richness (in control). The wine expresses notes of  wild bright blackcurrant, pulpy blueberry, small notes of juicy plums associated with touches of small black fruits, cornflower, strawberry  flowers, hints of vanilla, toasted hazelnut, blond tabaco, mocha and a very discreet hint of graphite/wet stone (in the background). Good length. The tannins are precis, well built, elegant, racy and offer a certain softness. A very well-made and gourmand wine. Bravo!
