Château Grand Barrail Lamarzelle Figeac 2021 – Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

Château Grand Barrail Lamarzelle Figeac 2021 – Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

The nose is fruity, revealing a lovely panoply of fruit, a fine fleshiness. There are notes of crushed blackcurrant, pulpy raspberry and, more slightly, blueberry combined with hints of candied strawberry, liquorice and a hint of lily, a discreet touch of bourbon vanilla pod and caramelisation. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, juiciness, acidity, pulpiness, fleshiness, some volume and roundness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, purple plum and more lightly fresh/pulpy red berries combined with hints of lily, nutmeg as well as fine toasted notes, a discreet hint of tonka bean and toasted almond. Good length. The tannins are precise and mellow.
