Château Gloria 2017 – Saint-Julien

Château Gloria 2017 – Saint-Julien

The nose is aromatic and slightly powerful. It reveals notes of minerality, cassis, wild strawberry and small notes of blackberry associated with small touches of toasted oak, sweet spices as well as a hint of vanilla and an imperceptible touch of pepper (in background). The palate is fresh, fruity, mineral, a bit tight and offers fat, a beautiful acid frame as well as tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, juicy red berries, cherry and small notes of crunchy cassis associated with touches of minerality, small touches of grilled / toasted oak, cocoa as well as a very discreet hint of fresh vanilla and fresh almond (in the background). Tannins are (very) slightly tight. There are a subtle saline touch and a touch caramelized almond on the finish.
