Château Gazin 2010 – Pomerol

The nose is elegant, fresh and offers power, a certain creaminess, a beautiful finesse of the grain, a certain density and a certain complexity. This wine should be decanted. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry, creamy raspberry, small notes of ripe cassis associated with touches of small blue fruits, caramelization, violet, lily as well as hints of chocolate, toasted, a subtle hint of sugared tobacco, tea, flint, a very discreet hint of pepper and toasted hazelnut. The palate is fruity, fresh, mineral, elegant, well-balanced and offers a beautiful definition, a beautiful suavity, a beautiful fat, fullness, energy, tension, a beautiful structure as well as delicacy, a silky side, gourmandize and a small aerial side in its approache (full of finesse and balance). On the palate this wine expresses notes of creamy blackberry, crushed cassis, small notes of fleshy/pulpy strawberry associated with touches of crushed blue plum, small blue fruits, caramelization, cornflower, vanilla, chocolate as well as a subtle hint of sugared tobacco, rose and crushed hazelnut. Tannins are well-built. Good length and very beautiful persistence.
