Château Fontbadet 2021 – Pauillac

Château Fontbadet 2021 – Pauillac

The nose is fruity, racy, focused/precise and reveals a fine power and concentration. There are notes of ripe strawberry, pulpy/fresh blackberry and more lightly of fleshy red berries combined with fine touches of lily, blueberry, discreet hints of star anise, sweet spices and an almost serene touch of bourbon vanilla. The palate offers minerality, freshness, tension, juiciness, a fine straightness and a racy structure. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy raspberry, violet and, more slightly, blackberry, combined with hints of fleshy/ripe strawberry, as well as fine hints of star anise, sweet tobacco, almond and a discreet hint of vanilla in the background. Good length. The tannins are well managed. A nice sapidity and a subtle chewiness on the finish.
