Château Filhot 2010 – Sauternes, 2ème Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity, gourmand, elegant and offers a certain richness as well as slight concentration. It reveals notes of candied lemon and slight notes of candied mandarin, kumquat associated with discreet hints of vine peach. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, racy and offers minerality, a beautiful roundness, a slight acid frame (in the background), suavity, a slight freshness as well as a slight gourmandise. In the mouth this wine expresses noets of candied lemon, candied mandarin, kumquat and slight touches of apple in syrup associated with a very discreet hint of dried apricot (in the background) as well as a slight notes of caramelized brioche/sweet spices. Good length and persistence.
