Château Ferrand 2021 – Pomerol

The nose is fresh, racy and reveals a floral character. There are notes of juicy blackberry, blueberry and a hint of graphite combined with bright blue berries, tart cherry and a hint of liquorice. The palate is mineral, racy, balanced and offers graphite/pencil lead, tension and minerality. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, pulpy/fresh blue berries and more lightly blueberry combined with hints of lily, liquorice, a hint of ripe/fresh red berries as well as a subtle hint of graphite and toast and a subtle hint almost of chocolate (in the background). Supple on the palate. The tannins are well managed. Subtle chewiness on the finish.
