Château Faugères 2018 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

Château Faugères 2018 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is fruity and offers a fine intensity, power as well as a good finesse of the grain. It reveals notes of wild blackberry, wild cassis and small notes of wild strawberry associated with small touches of toasted, zan as well as discreet hints of flowers (cornflower, violet), black tea, gray pepper and an imperceptiblehint of iris. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, very finely chased and offers a beautiful juiciness, an acidulous frame, a small tension, a beautiful definition, a good precision, a good suavity as well as density/richness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fleshy cassis, fleshy/juicy blackberry and small notes of fleshy/juicy raspberry associated with touches of juicy strawberry, discreet hints of flowers, liquorice as well as a very discreet hint of cardamom. Tannins are elegant and structuring. There is a very discreet hint of toasted hazelnut and vanilla on the persistence.
