Château du Tertre 2018 – Margaux Cru Classé

The nose is fruity, fresh, finely tight, complex, full of finesse and offers a very fine concentration, a beautiful deepness (full of delicacy). It reveals notes of ripe wild cassis, cornflower, small rushed red berries and small notes of violet associated with small touches of blue plum as well as fine hints of bourbon vanilla pod, liquorice, discreet hints of tobacco, a subtle varietal hint and an imperceptible hint of pepper. The palate is fruity, juicy, elegant, beautifully defined and offers delicacy, a beautiful stretchy side, a small unctuosity, pulpiness and a beautiful tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, creamy raspberry and small notes of cornflower associated with touches of small unctuous blue fruits as well as hints of lilac, small pulpy red berries, hints of liquorice, cocoa, fine hints of tobacco, caramelization and a subtle hint of toasted hazelnut. Tannins are elegant, precise and quite chewy. Good length. Gourmandize and sapidity in the finish/persistence.
