Château du Retout 2020, Haut-Médoc

On the nose it is aromatic, precise and offers a certain power (but in control). It reveals notes of luscious wild blackberry, bright wild blackcurrant and more slightly crushed strawberry associated with touches of raspberry, gray pepper and fine hints of spice. On the palate is fruity, balanced and offers a mineral structure, a nice finesse / delicacy, precision, a certain gourmandize as well as a stretched side. This wine expresses notes of juicy / fresh raspberry, violet, iris and more lightly small berries associated with touches of rogue berries, sweet spices, nutmeg as well as fine varietal hints. Good length. A discreet hint of almond on the persistence.
