Château du Moulin à Vent – Champ de Cour 2017 – Moulin-à-Vent

The nose is fruity, elegant, gourmand, aromatic and beautifully built. It reveals notes of fleshy blackberry, crushed raspberry, small notes of chocolate associated with touches of fleshy/pulpy violet plum, vanilla as well as a discreet hint of rose, cornflower, liquorice and sweet spices. The palate is fruity, elegant, gourmand, racy and offers a beautiful definition, precision, juiciness as well as minerality, a beautiful construction, a beautiful precise/finely unctuous matter and a bright fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright cherry, bright blackberry, small notes of violet associated with touches of bright/juicy Quetsche plum, lilac, crushed raspberry as well as hints of vanilla, toasted, nutmeg, a very discreet hint of chocolate and an imperceptible hint of salinity (in the background). Good length. Tannins are well-built, racy and fine. A beautiful ageing potential.
