Château du Courlat – Cuvée Jean-Baptiste 2018 – Lussac Saint-Emilion

The nose is fruity, elegant and racy. It reveals notes of strawberry, blackberry and small notes of red fruits associated with fine touches of fresh flowers as well as hints of Cuben pepper, nutmef and a very discreet hint of tea (in the background). The palate is fruity, fresh, mineral, precise, structured, frank, dense and offers a mineral/fresh frame aswell as concentration. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh/crunchy blackberry, fresh/crunchy wild strawberry and small notes of fresh/crunchy cherry associated with small touches of cornflower, fresh/crunchy small wild fruits, subtle hints of liquorice/zan, nutmeg as well as a very discreet hint of varietal and cocoa. The finish is finely firm, precise and frank.
