Château d’Or et de Gueules – La Bolida 2016 – Costières de Nîmes

The nose is aromatic and offers elegance, slight power as well as finesse. It reveals notes of cassis, juicy fleshy blueberry and small notes of sour cherry, wild blue fruits associated with a hint of crushed raspberry as well as slight / discreet touches of spices, gray pepper, thyme and to an imperceptible hint of violet / Zan. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, well-built and offers juiciness, a slight freshness, a beautiful juiciness, gourmandise, a good definition, a mineral frame, precision, harmony, a good tannic structure as well as a slight straightness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy cassis, fleshy blueberry and small notes of cherry, wild blue fruits associated with a hint of redcurrants as well as slight hints of spices, cornflowers, Zan, cocoa and oak. Tannins are fine, a bit firm and very slightly tight. Good length.
