The nose is fruity and offers a certain intensity and power as well as a fleshy fruit. It reveals notes of violet plum, fresh blueberry, and more slightly – notes of fresh wild strawberry associated with touches of violet/fresh iris as well as slight hints of star anise and a discreet hint of almost caramelisation. The palate is fruity and offers a nice tangy structure, juiciness, good definition, energy, a slight straightness as well as a slight tension. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/tangy cherry, and blueberry and more slightly notes of crushed blue plum associated with touches of nutmeg, sweet spices, cornflower, and a subtle hint of toasted hazelnut (on the finish). Good length. Nice tangy finish.
