Château de Viaud 2018 – Lalande-de-Pomerol

The nose is fruity, elegant, racy and offers richness/concentration, freshness as well as a fine grain. It reveals notes of fleshy cassis, strawberry and small notes of blackberry associated with touches of violet, small black fruits as well as hints of liquorice and grilled. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, mineral and offers an acidulous frame as well as gourmandize. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackcherry, fleshy/juicy raspberry and small notes of juicy/fleshy blackberry associated with small touches of fleshy/juicy blueberry as well as hints of grilled, grilled bread, vanilla and very fine hints of chocolate. Tannins are well-built. Fine power on the finish. Good length and good persistence. Beautiful finish.
