On the nose, fruity and offers a little freshness, some concentration, finesse in its richness/boldness, an airy side as well as delicacy. It reveals notes of pulpy boysenberry, fresh cassis and nuances of raspberry associated with touches of violet, raspberry leaf, fresh black berries as well as hints of camphor, sweet spices, nutmeg, grey pepper and discreet touches of vanilla and toasted hazelnut. On the palate, fruity, balanced and offers juiciness, sweetness, a little gourmandize, tension, a fine tightness, a fine grain, controlled power, a little juiciness, an acidulous frame, a nice freshness as well as a fine straightforwardness. A little bit contained in its richness and power. The wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy boysenberry, pulpy/juicy cassis and hints of fresh raspberry associated with touches of small black berries as well as hints of camphor, tonka bean, a subtle hint of black tea and a discreet touch of vanilla. The tannins are precise, well conducted and offer a small powdery side.
