Château de Sales 2019 – Pomerol

Château de Sales 2019 – Pomerol

The nose is fruity with a certain power and a fine grain. There are some airiness and depth. We perceive notes of violet, camphor and small notes of fresh sweet spices associated with touches of saffron, fresh tobacco, fresh pepper and a subtle hint of crushed blackberry and imperceptible fresh vanilla pod. The mineral bite has elegance and a certain juiciness. We discover a certain straightness, tension, a nice fattiness and controlled power. There are notes of juicy and pulpy wild blackberries, cherries and small notes of cornflower associated with touches of quite ripe raspberries as well as hints of spices, fresh blond tobacco and a subtle note of nutmeg. There are also fine saffron flower tips. There is sapidity and supple and elegant tannins.
