On the nose, distinguished and offers power, a nice fine grain as well as some delicacy, a nice finesse in its intensity/power and a little airiness in the approach. It reveals notes of crisp black currant, juicy/pulpy blackberry and more lightly violet, rose combined with hints of small black berry burstings, a hint of cherry pit as well as fine graphite, violet, lilac, a subtle hint of camphor, cuben pepper and fresh almond. On the palate, fruity, distinguished, all in finesse and offers a good definition, elegance, a nice delicacy, precision as well as a nice fineness of the grain, a certain small tension, a nice freshness, power, a certain roundness, a nice juiciness, a bursting of the fruit, minerality, a nice width of the palette, density, complexity (all in finesse) as well as an airy side. The wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackcurrant, small black berries, blueberry, crunchy blackberry and more lightly lilac, violet combined with touches of crunchy berries as well as hints of crunchy raspberry, cherry pit as well as fine hints of camphor, cocoa, hazelnut, black tea, dark chocolate, a hint of coffee, subtle nutmeg and licorice. The tannins are well conducted, fine, elegant and discreetly powdered. A discreet almost powdery edge on the finish/persistence. (Two tastings)
