Château de Rolland 2020, Barsac

Château de Rolland 2020, Barsac

On the nose, fruity, beautiful and offers a very fine edgy side. It reveals notes of fresh/crunchy nectarine, fresh apple/blackberry and slightly fresh mirabelle plum combined with hints of kumquat, candied berries and fine floral notes. On the palate, fruity and offers freshness, minerality, good definition, a certain gourmandize as well as a tangy, edgy/well-defined/almost discreetly tight texture. The wine expresses notes of candied lemon, ripe kumquat and more lightly crystallized vine peach combined with hints of carambola/Spanish lime, peach blossom as well as fine honey/pastry, a subtle hint of lime (in the background). A nice aromatic persistence with a fine waft of almond/nut. A touch of vanilla on the finish.
