Château de Respide – Callipyge 2020 

The nose offers a small power, a finely tight grain and a fine intensity. It reveals notes of small black berries, raspberry, small notes of cuben pepper associated with touches of small pulpy/fleshy blue fruits, violet as well as a discreet hint of liquorice stick and tobacco. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, minerality, a good definition, freshness, a small fluidity, a discreet aerial side in the balance. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, pulpy/fresh raspberry, small notes of small pulpy fruits associated with touches of violet, rose, fleshy plum as well as fine hints of vanilla, liquorice, a discreet hint of pepper and an imperceptible hint of mint. Tannins are precise and finely firm. A discreetly tight finish and tannic structure.
