On the palate this wine expresses notes of cassis, black cherry, cherry and more slightly redcurrant associated with fine touches of liquorice/liquorice stick, sweet spices, toasted oak as well as discreet hints of cocoa/tonka bean and a very discreet hint of tobacco (in the background). Tannins are fine and slightly dry. Good length.
