Château de Meursault, Clos de la Platière, Premier Cru 2020 – Pommard

Château de Meursault, Clos de la Platière, Premier Cru 2020 – Pommard

The wine has a ruby colour of medium intensity. The nose offers a beautiful concentration and juiciness of fruits. There are notes of fresh and jammy red and black fruits (fresh blackberry, wood strawberry, raspberry coulis, fresh and jammy blueberry, fresh Morello cherry, blackcurrant). There are also fine notes of black pepper, liquorice, clove, as well as dried flowers (rose petal, violet, a hint of lavender). On the palate, there is freshness and a tangy side of black fruits (blueberry, blackcurrant, Morello cherry), as well as a delicate and integrated herbaceous side (peppermint, rosemary, sage). Spices are present and add to the complexity of the wine. Cinnamon, liquorice and cloves are present. Good length, with complexity and freshness. The wine is persistent and complex on the palate, developing into elegant floral notes (blueberry, peony, dried violet). Nice sapidity and refreshing acidity. Very good ageing potential.
