Château de Laborde – Aux Ételois 2016 – Grevey-Chambertin

The nose is aromatic and offers complexity, a fine gourmandize as well as a beautiful juicy/fresh/well-built fruit. It reveals notes of juicy strawberry, juicy blackberry, small notes of violet associated with small touches of grey pepper, small berries, lily, rose petal, a hint of spices and a very discreet hint of Badiane. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, finely tight, beautifully racy and offers a beautiful racy minerality, a small gourmandize, a juicy/acidulous frame and a fine freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fleshy raspberry, acidulous/juicy strawberry, small notes of violet associated with touches of rose as well as a hint of acidulous plum, rose wood as well as discreet hints of grey pepper and an imperceptible hint of laurel berries/varietal (in the background). Good length.
