The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is gourmand, it offers a warming but fine spiciness, as well as ripe and juicy fruit. It expresses the aromas of wild strawberries, wild blackberries, morello cherry jam, fresh morello cherries, blueberries and raspberry coulis, combined with notes of sweet spices (licorice, cloves, grated nutmeg, ground cumin), flowers (violet, peony), as well as a fine touch of vanilla and a freshness of menthol. On the palate, the wine offers suppleness and gourmandise of fruit, as well as savoury notes of sweet spices, roasted fruit and smoked meat. We find in particular the flavors of roasted red cherry, crushed blackcurrant, roasted raspberry, raspberry coulis, wild strawberry, morello cherry, as well as licorice, toasted cumin seeds, cloves, toasted, smoked and roasted meat in the background. There are also floral (peony, dried rose) and herbaceous (dried mint, tobacco) touches. The tannins are silky, with a beautiful structure. The acidity is lively and salivating, but supple, good length and concentration in the mouth.
