On the nose, fruity, all in finesse/mastery and offers a nice airy character as well as elegance (all in finesse), a nice airy character, some depth as well as a little multi-layered side that requires some work in the glass. It reveals notes of dense/pulpy blackberry, violet and more lightly of small fleshy/ripe black berries combined with delicate touches of violet, flowers, lily, fresh vanilla as well as hints of cherry blossom, fresh red berries as well as fine peppery notes, sweet blond tobacco and a subtle hint of cinnamon (in the background). On the palate, fruity, delicate/masterful, with juiciness, freshness, minerality, richness (delicate), airiness, tension and acidity. The wine expresses pulpy/juicy blackberry, juicy/pulpy blackcurrant and more lightly violet notes combined with hints of fleshy cherry, pulpy violet plum as well as hints of tart/juicy/pulpy currant, violet, discreet hints of tonka bean/cocoa, sweet blond tobacco, bourbon vanilla bean and sweet spices. The tannins are mellow, elegant, fine and distinguished. A nice success! |
