The nose is aromatic. It reveals notes of blackberry, ripe fruits and crushed strawberry associated with a touch of undergrowth, discreet hints of Sichuan pepper, flowers, cardamom as well as a hint of nutmeg, a woody hint and an imperceptible hint of coffee. The wine needs to be decanted (carafe). The palate is fruity, mineral, juicy and offers a slight acid frame, suavity, a good volume as well as a good definition. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry, cassis and slight notes of fleshy wild strawberry associated with a hint of cherry, strawberry as well as slight notes of licorice, toasted/caramelized oak, cardamom and a hint of vanilla. Tannins are fine and well-built. Good length.
