The nose is aromatic, finely powerful and offers a fine intensity / concentration. It reveals notes of blackberry, earth and crushed redcurrant combined with a touch of strawberry, tonka bean / mocha, undergrowth, cardamom and a discreet hint of tea. The wine needs to be decanted. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a nice mineral frame, a fine acidity, fat, a small austere side as well as minerality. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, plum and small notes of fleshy strawberry associated with a touch of raspberry, toasted oak, tonka bean, earth and spices. Tannins are well-built and a bit chewy. Good length.
