The nose is nicely conducted and offers elegance, power as well as some intensity / depth. There are notes of blackberry, violet and more slightly strawberry associated with touches of small red currants, rose, fine hints of undergrowth, white flowers as well as a discreet hint of mushroom, graphite and dark chocolate. This wine benefits from being decanted. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers freshness, minerality, a nice definition, precision, roundness, fat as well as accuracy. A wine of elegance and delicacy. A little airy side, in certain aspects, well balanced. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy / juicy blackberry, fleshy raspberry and small crushed red currants associated with touch of plum, dried violet, tonka bean, cardamom, tobacco as well as fine hints of undergrowth, with a subtle hint of toast and camphor / truffle. Tannins are racy. Presence of a small chewiness and a very fine salinity at the end of the palate / persistence.
