Château de Chantegrive 2022 – Graves

Château de Chantegrive 2022 – Graves

The nose is aromatic and offers a certain complexity and power. It expresses notes of pulpy wild strawberry, cherry and, more slightly, fleshy blackberry combined with touches of fresh cubeb pepper, fresh spices and a discreet hint of sappy background. The palate is mineral and offers freshness, roundness, fattiness, a certain power, notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, small crushed wild black fruits, and more slightly – mocha associated with touches of pulpy/bright cherry , violet, lilac as well as hints of pepper and a subtle sappy hint and toasted/grilled hazelnut in the background. The tannins are powdery. We also find a slight hint of roasting on the finish/persistence.
