Château de Carles – Haut-Carles 2019 – Fronsac

The nose offers power, intensity, a stretched side, a certain deepness as well as concentration. It reveals notes of violet, juicy cassis and more slightly concentrated black berries associated with touches of concentrated / fresh red fruits, hints of sweet spices, pepper as well as a discreet hint of flowers and almond. The palate is fresh, mineral, fruity and offers tension, a nice stretched side, a nice juicy / fresh fruit, roundness, fattiness, a certain creaminess in freshness as well as a sustained fruit. Pretty freshness and roundness of the fruit. The wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry and bright cassis associated with touches of pulpy raspberry, juicy / tart red berries as well as hints of lilac, nutmeg and a very discreet hint of balsamic vinegar. Sapidity and hints of chocolate on the finish.
