Château de Bel-Air – Les Bois Maréchaux 2018 – Moulin-à-Vent

The nose is fruity and offers minerality, a very fine intensity as well as a fine melodious side. This wine should be decanted. It reveals notes of bright Boysen berry, small bright blue fruits, bigarreau cherry associated with touches of violet plum, liquorice as well as fine hints of pink laurel, a very discreet hint of spices and an imperceptible hint of timut pepper (in the background). The palate is fruity and offers freshness, a fine fleshiness, a fine firmness as well as gourmandize, tension, dynamism and a juicy/mineral frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy juicy blackberry, fleshy/juicy cassis, small notes of violet associated with touches of fleshy violet plum as well as a hint of crushed cherry, chocolate, caramelization and a discreet hint of vanilla pod. Tannins are precise. Good length.
