Château de Beaulon 1980, Single Estate – Cognac

The nose is fruity, powerful, racy, elegant, precise and offers a beautiful definition, a small intensity as well as a beautiful personality. It reveals notes of dried quince and small notes of dried orange combined with slight touches of mandarin marmalade, crushed apricot, rancio as well as very discreet hints of pâtisseries, hazelnut, tonka bean, Cuben pepper and an imperceptible hint of white flowers. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, racy and offers a good definition, suavity, gourmandise, a fine tension, a slight straightness, a beautiful structure, a slight mineral frame, a fine freshness, finesse, a small richness as well as a small power (but full of elegance). On the palate, this Cognac expresses notes of Zante currant, quince and small notes of dried mandarin / orange combined with slight touches of caramelization, cigar, rancio and very discreet hints of pâtisseries, hazelnut, grilled and with a discreet hint of roasting / tonka bean. Good length and persistence. Beautiful elegance!
