Château Dauzac 2021 – Margaux 5ème Grand Cru Classé

The nose is elegant, racy and shows good definition, transparency, complexity, depth and a nice aromatic palette. There are notes of cherry, bright red berries and a hint of violet combined with hints of blackcurrant, cherry blossom, liquorice, a discreet hint of crushed plum, black tea and a subtle hint of anise. The palate is nicely fresh, elegant and reveals richness and freshness, a nice airiness and a fine creaminess. On the palate this wine expresses fresh/pulpy raspberry, cherry and slightly brighter blackcurrant notes combined with hints of lily, cherry blossom, fine gravelly notes, fine hints of fresh liquorice sticks, star anise as well as a subtle hint of fresh saffron blossom and hazelnut/almond toast. Nice work on the bitter taste on the finish/persistence.
