Château Dassault 2021 – Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé

Château Dassault 2021 – Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity, tight, structured and offers a fine concentration. There are notes of ripe/pulpy wild raspberry, fresh/ripe blackcurrant and more lightly violet combined with hints of pulpy/acidic wild berries combined with hints of star anise, lily/lilac as well as discreet hints of graphite, sweet spice and a subtle almost saline character. The palate is juicy, elegant, delicate and reveals complexity, a certain power/intensity (but in elegance), a velvety quality, subtlety as well as a nice complexity in the maturity of the fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/flavoured raspberry, roasted cherry and more lightly pulpy/fresh blue berries combined with hints of pulpy/acidulated blackcurrant, hints of star anise, lily, sweet blond tobacco, sense of place and a subtle hint of bergamot and salinity.
