The nose is spicy and tight. The wine benefits from being decanted. There are notes of boysenberry , fresh clove and small notes of fresh spices associated with a subtle hint of small crushed/jammed red fruits and pepper. The palate is mineral, slightly tight, well-structured and offers a fine juiciness as well as a fine acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, small crushed fruits and small notes of fleshy/pulpy cherry associated with a touch of violet, a discreet sappy hint, fine hints of spices/fresh pepper as well as ‘with a subtle empyreumatic hint / fresh leather and toasted / chocolat.
