Château Croizet-Bages 2020 – Pauillac, Grand Cru Classé

Château Croizet-Bages 2020 – Pauillac, Grand Cru Classé

On the nose, discreetly tight with some racy power, fine texture, intensity/depth and a little airiness. It reveals notes of blackberry, white pepper, pulpy/ripe small red fruits and with rocky minerality combined with hints of violet, plum as well as fine spice, a discreet hint of camphor and tobacco. On the palate, fruity and offers juiciness, freshness, an acidic frame, a certain gourmandize, a stretched side as well as a certain depth. The wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, raspberry and hints of red currants associated with touches of fresh lily, cherry blossom as well as hints of earthy minerality, fresh nutmeg, fresh tobacco and a very discreet hint of roasted hazelnut in the background. Good length. A discreet touch of coffee on the persistence/aftertaste.
