Château Croizet-Bages 2010 – Pauillac, Cru Classé

The nose is elegant, racy and offers power, deepness, a beautiful finesse of the grain as well as deepness. It reveals notes of quite ripe strawberry, fleshy blackberry and small notes of fresh raspberry associated with touches of cuben pepper, a racy minerality as well as discreet hints of underwood, almond, a very fine hint of tonka bean and an imperceptible hint of truffle (in the background). The palate is fruity, elegant, racy, beautifully defined, fleshy, suave, aerial, finely unctuous and offers a controlled power. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/fleshy blackberry, quite ripe raspberry and small notes of quite ripe redcurrant associated with touches of racy minerality, green cardamom, toasted, chocolate as well as discreet hints of underwood and a subtle hint of white truffle. Tannins are well-built.
