The nose is fine, fruity and offers precision. It reveals notes of cassis, blackberry and fine notes of dark berries combined with a fine touch of violet, spices, Ceylon tea, licorice and a hint of Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, relatively fat, relatively gourmand and offers a good matter, freshness, a small acid frame (in the background), a good volume as well as a silky and slightly smooth matter. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry, cassis and slight notes of plum associated with discreet touches of black cherry, violets as well as a fine note of toasted oak and very discreet notes of hazelnut on the aftertaste. Tannins are fine and slightly firm. Good length and persistence. The finish is relatively suave.
