On the nose, fruity and offers a certain gourmandise as well as a fine concentration. It reveals notes of ripe boysenberry, fleshy blackcurrant and more slightly pulpy purple plum associated with small touches of ripe wild strawberry as well as hints of toast, nutmeg, ripe almond and a discreet hint of pepper (in the background). On the palate, it is fruity and offers minerality, good definition, a certain tension as well as a fine roundness and a little sweetness. The wine expresses notes of fresh/pulpy blackberry, pulpy blackcurrant and slightly fleshy raspberry combined with a touch of fleshy/juicy plum, lily, chocolate and wafts of toast and almond. The tannins are powerful and finely mellow.
