Château Cheval Noir – Cuvée Le Fer 2018 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity and offers a good definition as well as a very fine nctuosity. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry, fleshy cassis and small notes of strawberry associated with small touches of violet as well as hints of liquorice, caramelization and an imperceptible hint of spices (nutmeg, Cuben pepper…). The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers gourmandize, a mineral frame as well as freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, juicy/fleshy cassis and small notes of fresh red fruits (red berries, raspberry) associated with small touches of blueberry as well as hints of liquorice, caramelization and very fine hints of toasted hazelnut (in the background). Good length.
