Château Cheval Blanc 2017 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, 1er Grand Cru Classé A

The nose is fruity, elegant, racy and offers a fine controlled richness, a beautiful fine grain, a fine freshness and a fine deepness. It reveals notes of ripe cassis, ripe blackberry and small notes of ripe blueberry associated with very fine hints of incense, berries/black/pink pepper as well as very fine hints of spices, toasted and cocoa. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, juiciness, an acidulous frame, tension and a very discreetly tight structure. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/ripe cassis, crushed black blackberry and small notes of juicy/pulpy violet plum associated with hints of crunchy red berries, fine hints of flowers (cornflower, violet, lily) as well as very discreet hints of spices, tonka bean, chocolate and toasted. Tannins are elegant, racy and well-built. Good length. Sapidity on the finish.
