Château Charmant 2015 – Margaux

The nose is fruity and reveals a slight gourmandise as well as a good maturity. It reveals notes of juicy blackberry, ripe redcurrant and slight touches of cassis combined with spicy / gravelly minerality, a hint of fresh fruit (in the background) as well as subtle woody touches and imperceptible hints of cocoa. The palate is fruity, fresh, slightly tight, well-balanced and offers an acid frame, juiciness, racy minerality and a slight suavity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh raspberry and ripe redcurrant associated with touches of blackberry, toasted oak as well as very discreet touches of cocoa (in the background) and a very slight hint almost saline on the finish / persistence. Tannins are slightly chewy.
