Château Carteau Côtes Daugay 2019 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is fruity and offers a small gourmandize, a small intensity as well as richness. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry, crushed strawberry, small notes of pulpy cassis associated with fine touches of toasted, caramelization, cornflower, lily as well as very fine hints of chocolate. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a mineral frame, a good definition, juiciness and a good freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cassis, bright blackberry, bright raspberry associated with touches of violet, lily, racy minerality as well as fine hints of toasted, cardamom and vanilla. Tannins are elegant and well-built.
