Château Carbonnieux Blanc 2021 – Pessac-Léognan Grand Cru Classé de Graves

Château Carbonnieux Blanc 2021 – Pessac-Léognan Grand Cru Classé de Graves

The nose reveals elegance, some compactness, a fine richness and a racy gravelly quality. There are notes of pulpy green apple, fresh/crushed peach and more lightly lychee combined with delicate touches of fresh mirabelle plum, a discreet hint of passion fruit and discreet almost fresh vanilla. The palate is fresh, fruity and offers a nice acidic backbone, a beautiful minerality, a certain tension, salinity at the bottom, freshness, volume and energy. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/fresh white peach, green apple and slightly fresh mirabelle plum notes combined with fine lemony/juicy citrus touches, fine toasted hints and a very discreet hint of salinity and an imperceptible almost smoky hint in the background. A subtle hint of vanilla in the background. An imperceptible hint of fresh sap in the background.
