Château Carbonnieux 2012 – Grand Cru Classé de Graves, Pessac-Léognan (white)

The nose is aromatic, fresh, quite intense and offers a racy minerality. It reveals notes of lemon, mandarin and slight notes of yuzu associated with fine notes of exotic fruits (passion fruit, guava), beeswax, pear, white peach compote, a hint of grapefruit as well as a few discreet notes of toasted oak and vanilla. The palate is fruity, fine, elegant, voluptuous, quite aerial, gourmande and offers a beautiful racy minerality, a nice suavity, an acid frame, a good expression as well as a nice volume and an unctuous matter. On the palate this wine expresses notes of lemon, mandarin, yuzu and slight notes of sweet clementine associated with small notes of passion fruit, quenette, guava, vine peach as well as a hint of ripe Williams pear, toasted oak, vanilla and small notes of almond. Good length and lingering aroma. The finish is suave.
